THE SKA (BOOK)

"The Right Way of Yell," the first book on the culture in our country Ska. This excellent work was done by Daniel Flores, keyboardist Satellite Kingston and one of the maximum and knowledgeable in the genre. In the 160 pages that the book has this great artist brings everything related to the genre and shows us plenty of testimonials from musicians, fans, dj's in addition to having an excellent bibliography of flyers and photos. From a lonely Rude Boy Buenos Aires called Ronnie Montalban, in the sixties, the contagious outbreak of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, in the eighties. The underground resistance of the nineties and landing of bands like Bad Manners and Madness in Buenos Aires. The ska has come up today a zigzag path within the so-called Rock Nacional Argentino. Relied almost exclusively on direct testimony from more than half a hundred players, this unique book portrays carefully to a small but persistent scene with punk look, elegance and mod black rhythm.

THE SKA AND THE INFLUENCE OF THE FASHION AND THE LIFESTYLES

Ska is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s, and which was the precursor to rocksteady and reggae.
Ska combined elements of Caribbean mento and calypso with American jazz and rhythm and blues. It is characterized by a walking bass line, accented with rhythms on the offbeat. In the early 1960s, ska was the dominant musical genre of Jamaica, and it was also popular with British mods. Many skinheads, in various decades, have also enjoyed ska (along with reggae, rocksteady and other genres).Music historians typically divide the history of ska into three periods: the original Jamaican ska scene of the 1960s, the 2 Tone ska revival that started in England in the late 1970s, and the third wave ska movement, which started in the 1980s.

People need to be different from the others and in the process of growing we obtain preferences and likes also we have certain characteristics that we adapt to our body to be better and different form the other.

The each person has some things that make us different and you need to be different and unique to be better. If you have a defined personality and your family teaches you good values and principles you wont need to search in a tribe ( a group of people with similar likes ) some thing that makes you different, because you’ll obtain the things that you like form your family and with this your creating your own personality and identity.

The artistic expression is the way people express their disagreement with the society or with their family also the artistic expressions is the way people express their capabilities to be the best and to be recognized doing that they like or only because they like a different way to use their time or because a specific artistic expressions has characteristics in common with your capacities.

The artistic expressions can’t affect your personality or identity because you always have your scene and you don’t need to change to be better or different, you always going to be the best in some thing, because you’re always are different and unique.
